NACSA Leads the Way: Cyber Games 2025 Officially Launched in Malaysia
Malaysia proudly marks a historic milestone with the launch of the inaugural Cyber Games 2025, hosted by the National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA) and jointly organised with the Council of Europe and INTERPOL.
The opening ceremony took place on 20 May 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, bringing together around 120 participants from 40 countries, all competing to tackle real-world cybersecurity challenges in a dynamic, scenario-based environment.
The ceremony was officiated by Digital Ministry Secretary-General, The Honorable Mr. Fabian Bigar, delivering a speech on behalf of Minister YB Mr. Gobind Singh Deo.
The decision to hold the very first edition of the Cyber Games here in Malaysia reflects the strong and growing partnership between Malaysia, the Council of Europe, and INTERPOL. It reaffirms our shared vision: to foster resilience, cooperation, and innovation in the fight against cybercrime.
Running from May 20-23, Cyber Games 2025 underscores NACSA's leadership in the global cybersecurity arena, uniting law enforcement, cybersecurity investigators, and digital forensic experts to address challenges such as ransomware, blockchain analysis, Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT), and incident response.
This event highlights NACSA's proactive role in shaping a secure digital future, not just for Malaysia, but for the wider ASEAN region and beyond.
